Importance of Mentorship
Lori is the Director of Multicultural Services and Outreach at SCC. She earned a bachelor's in sociology from Gonzaga University and a master's in educational leadership from Washington State University. She has worked in education for over 12 years at universities throughout the region before landing at CCS. Lori is a member of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges, and serves as a board member with the Washington Council for Higher Education. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
